Analog Hotplates / Stirrers

Hotplate stirrers are very popular pieces of laboratory equipment that are extremely useful in a great many situations. Magnetic hotplate stirrers operate via a rotating internal magnet which causes a stirrer bar contained within a vessel seated on the stirrer to rotate very rapidly, stirring the contents of the vessel.

The hotplate component allows the solution to be simultaneously stirred and heated, although in certain situations either stirring alone or heating alone may be required. Scilogex has been developing magnetic hotplate/stirrers for many years, and this is reflected both in the range and the quality of the instruments we offer.  We offer a full 2-year warranty with all our hotplate stirrers, despite the high level of use and potentially casual treatment we anticipate they will receive in the laboratory. Our range of hotplate stirrers includes analog and digital instruments, as well as multiposition hotplate stirrers.Analog magnetic hotplate stirrers are an ideal option for most laboratory applications in which an exact speed of rotation or exact temperature are not required and do not need to be recorded. Temperature and speed of rotation in an analog hotplate/stirrer is adjusted by means of dials on the front of the unit. Approximate speed and approximate temperature can be read directly from the dials.  

Analog hotplate stirrers from Scilogex offer electronic speed control for a constant speed even during changes in load, as well as low heat temperature stability. Analog models are also offered which provide a stirring facility only, with no integrated hotplate. These models are a highly cost-effective and low-maintenance option for situations in which ambient temperature reactions only are performed. All Scilogex analog stirrers and hotplates are provided with a brushless motor which has the advantage of a long working life and little requirement for maintenance.
