Calibration
All three scales use external calibration with weights - something your staff can do in-house without a service call. Internal auto-calibration, which some premium brands sell as a feature, simply adds cost to the purchase price. For most industrial and food processing environments, external calibration on a set schedule is perfectly adequate.
Replacement vs. repair
For bench-scale equipment, replacement is often more economical than depot repair when something fails outside warranty. For the PT platform - a longer-term capital purchase - the stainless construction and standard load cell components mean there's no unusual service infrastructure required.
The cost of the wrong IP rating
A scale destroyed by the cleaning environment costs you the purchase price, the replacement cost, and any production downtime in between. The IP rating is worth getting right the first time.
